I am honored to officially introduce myself as the new President of Regina Angelorum Academy. Welcome to our new students, families and faculty. We are beginning an exciting journey together. I am honored and humbled to join this vibrant community!
I would like to thank the Board of Trustees, Principal Ann Coffey and our esteemed faculty who have so graciously welcomed me and my family to Regina Angelorum Academy. And I would like to extend my appreciation to the families and students who have made me feel at home during my first few months here!
At Regina Angelorum Academy, we are dedicated to offering an authentically Catholic education that fosters intellectual growth, spiritual development, and the pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness. Our unique curriculum is designed to inspire students to think critically, understand deeply, and grow in virtue, aligning with the timeless principles of a classical education. We emphasize the “why” and “how” of learning, helping students not only acquire knowledge but also grow in wisdom and virtue. Indeed, at RAA, we seek to cultivate saints and scholars, in that order.
As we begin this school year, I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated faculty and staff to continue the mission of Regina Angelorum Academy–and I am especially excited to work with our students and families! Acknowledging parents as the primary educators of their children, RAA is constantly seeking ways to support parents in their vocation, to strengthen families in their own formation, and to foster genuine friendship across our community. Together, we aim to create a supportive and enriching environment where each child can thrive.
I am particularly excited about our ongoing initiatives, such as the low-tech learning environment and the “Wait Until (After) 8th Pledge,” which ensures our students enjoy the wonder and innocence of childhood without the distractions of devices. Our faculty’s commitment to integrating the Catholic faith into every aspect of school life is not just a mission statement but a daily reality, enriching the lives of our students and their families.
Finally, this school year marks the beginning of a new period of exciting growth for our school, as we expand into the Augustinian Friary at 111 Argyle Road. In the coming months, the house next door, beautifully maintained by the Augustinians for the past 15 years, will be transformed into wonderful learning spaces for our students, teachers, and families. More to come!
As we embark on this new academic year, I encourage you to get involved in the life of our school community. Whether through volunteer opportunities, attending school events, or participating in our vibrant Parents’ Guild, your engagement is vital to our success.
