On February 29th, we welcomed Mr. Joseph Grabowski and Mrs. Deanne Ferriera, Esq. as judges for the Regina Angelorum Declamation Contest.  The visiting judges were very impressed with each student’s delivery.

Winners advanced on March 6th to the regional competition held at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown.

The Declamation season continued with a regional competition.  On March 6th, Regina Angelorum Academy students competed against other Regina Academies at the National Shrine to Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA.  Fr. David Friel, Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, [link to vocation page] began the competition with prayer.  Mr. Tim Murnane, Chair of the Regenia Academies welcomed students.  [link to Regina Academies page]

Regina Angelorum Academy placed in this regional competition with Thomas Petrucci coming in 2nd place.  Christine Cheely and Bella Lombardi received honorable mentions.  Congratulations Thomas, Christine and Bella on a job well done!

Through Declamation, students refine public speaking skills, gain confidence and learn about the history surrounding great works of literature and oration.  Regina Angelorum Academy is proud of the students who competed this year and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Declamation competition.
