Ms. Ann Nyaga, Music

Ms. Nyaga is a graduate of Ave Maria University with a degree in Music and a minor in Latin and Greek. Ms. Nyaga joined RAA in 2015 as a music teacher  to Pre-K through eighth grade.  Prior to this she taught Latin and Music to middle school and high school students. She was born and spent a large part of her childhood in Kenya (East Africa). More recently, she has lived in Massachusetts with her family. She has a passion for teaching music, and performing, as well as for learning other languages. She is very interested in the link between music and languages. She believes that the study of Gregorian chant and authentic folk music is integral to a complete musical education. She speaks various languages including two African languages (Swahili and Kikuyu), and French.

Ms. Nyaga has availed her self of the continuing education services provided by Pueri Cantores in the organization of children’s choirs in Catholic schools and parishes.  Ms. Nyaga directs the RAA chorale which will perform with Pueri Cantores at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City this year.
